Welcome!
My name is Krysten Clark Wilkes, and I am a non-attorney IEP advocate and licensed and Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
I work with families, schools, and organizations to support the educational and behavioral needs of students with disabilities and exceptionalities including:
Autism spectrum disorder and related conditions
Behavior disorders (e.g. ADHD, ODD, conduct disorder)
Intellectual disabilities
Additionally, I am a parent of a child with an IEP, which gives me a unique, compassionate perspective in understanding the needs of families.
An expert in the science of learning and behavior
I have a master’s degree in Exceptional Student Education with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) from the University of West Florida, and I’ve worked in homes, schools, and outpatient clinics providing ABA services for nearly a decade.
In 2023, I founded Learning and Behavior Consulting, an independent ABA therapy practice providing in-home services in Harford County, Maryland.
I also have advanced training at the doctoral level in special education and the law, instructional design, and research in psychology and education.
